Lockheed Martin
Engineering Exploring Program
Explorer Post 1010

    Gaithersburg, Maryland

Welcome to our web site. We are a great group of high school kids with interests in computers, robotics, rockets, and engineering. We meet at Lockheed Martin in Gaithersburg Maryland on Wednesday evenings, twice a month, through out the school year. We are developing experience in engineering to see if we want to make it our career.

News:
The rocketry project  and the robotics project are off to a big start.  Teams have been registered in the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC) and the Botball Educational Robotics Competition.

Reminder:
Our next general meeting is November 19 (agenda).  We will have presentations from Lockheed Martin engineers and a look at your future. Please bring remaining registration forms and dues.

The rocket launch on Saturday, November 15, is postponed due to weather to Saturday, November 22.

We are organized under the national Learning-for-Life Exploring Program.  For information about Exploring go to http://www.learning-for-life.org.  The local office has a web site at http://www.exploringlfl.org/exploring/.

The Post is staffed by volunteers from Lockheed Martin, their spouses, and friends. If you are interested in creating the future of engineering, we can always use more adult volunteers.
